This place was amazing.  I would have to say this has the best street tacos in Columbus.

The service here is super slow, I waited 30 minutes and my food never came out, the waitress never came back and checked on me. Finally got fed up and told them to cancel my order. One of the owners was just sitting around chatting with the other employees having lunch. I like supporting local businesses but I doubt that I will be back here.Very poor service!

Well ... I can believe I've lived in Columbus all this time and have never been here ... every kind of pepper you can think of .. great selection of produce .. all kinds of meat .. seafood ... I also bought a tortilla press and a tortilla warmer significantly less expensive than any place else. Highly recommend .

It's a bit different than my home La Michoacana.  The one that's at Bethel/Sawmill where I've likely eaten my weight in food over the last 4 years. But now that we've moved to this side of Columbus it's likely that the Morse Rd La Michoacana will soon likely be home.

This is a lively restaurant where the horchata is sweetened with condensed milk.  It was delicious but it is rare that I meet a horchata that I do not like but, the condensed milk made it taste a little extra special.  I appreciate that the salsas here are different.  I really liked the Verde salsa but, I'm kinda obsessed with tomatillios.  (Perhaps an unhealthy amount:)).  Dude.  And there's Valentina on the table which makes everything it touches more delicious.  It's the only hot sauce I like on my Mexican food.

The pollo milanesa torta that I had was beautiful.  My chicken was well seasoned and not in the least over cooked.  Which can easily happen with anything that is milanesa as it's thin and cooks quickly.  The ingredients on the were well proportioned and complemented the flavors of the pollo itself.  I'm excited to taste my way through this La Michoacana as I did with the one on Bethel/Sawmill.

On to the market!  The market was well laid out and organized in a seemingly logical way.  Next to the restaurant part are beautiful pastries and breads.  If I was not so full from the torta, chips, and horchata I would have pushed my wife to get some with me.  Next time for sure!
There is lard ready to grab and go, which it great to know as it really bumps the flavor when making homemade tamales.  The meat section looks great!  Not that I will likely ever need it but there was an entire cow's head for purchase!  Wicked cool!

It looks like this location, during warmer months, has a snack/fresh juice stand close to produce.  That's exciting as I love my Mexican snacks! (My undying love of Diamond's is an outward expression of this love).

In short, this La Michoacana is worth the visit.

    This concerns only the restaurant.
I order carnitas of the weekend menu.
The carnitas was nearly all fat very little meat.
Enough to make one small taco.
I was not going to complain but when presented with the bill it included a tip. Yes they added a tip without my prior approval.

The tamales and red salsa was good.

The grocery store is good and the new owner is making it better.
